‘The loneliness of an individual is not loneliness.
A lonely person looking for another lonely person,
a single sentence to try to find another single sentence,
this is the real loneliness.’

I created a doll - Suzie - to discuss each moment of silence and the deeper trauma it represents. Silence is another form of verbal expression, a silent cry of incomprehensibility and "nowhere to go". Suzie is our imaginary companion in these moments.

Exploring the answers is not the point. What interests me most is when the traumatic memories embedded behind this silence are reassembled and deconstructed with the power of language. What will happen?

"Suzie" is an undefined character who carries the painful memories of every girl. Those memories may seem different at the beginning but all reach the same end. I smashed up countless narrations on YouTube, re-edited them into a whole new text, found a narrator to read them out, and then blurred and mixed it with noise through a sound processor to make it sound noisy. I hope to explore the ethical possibility of data-based modifying and beautifying human emotions through technology.
